The Captain America set of films within the MCU had changed directors once through three movies, with Joe Johnston directing The First Avenger before frequent Marvel collaborators Joe and Anthony Russo took over for the two subsequent movies. Now, a few significant changes are coming to the next installment, Captain America: New World Order. First, a new character will play Captain America, with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson earning the shield in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In addition, a new director, Julius Onah, is arriving to helm the film.
