Marvel Studios Reportedly Blocked Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Appearing In Venom

The crossover between the MCU and Sony’s Spider-man-based universe of villains has been a brief and unstable thing so far. While it has included some good things – Spider-Man: No Way Home – and the not so good – Morbius’ post-credits scenes – it is clear that the deal between Marvel Studios and Sony is not currently working out in Sony’s favor, as while the Venom movies have done well at the box office, other films are not pulling in the same level of interested. One reason for this could be that Sony’s Spider-Man universe does not currently feature its own Spider-Man. That could have been very different, with new reports suggesting that Tom Holland’s web-slinger was blocked from appearing in Venom by Marvel Studios.
