Fans of the hit Broadway musical Wicked have something to look forward to this holiday season. According to Variety, Ethan Slater has been cast as Boq in the upcoming film adaptation. Boq is the love interest of Elphaba’s younger sister, Nessarose. However, the feelings are not mutual. Boq only became involved with Nessarose in the hopes of impressing Galinda, on whom he had his heart set. It will be interesting to see how Slater brings depth to this character, given his own experiences playing various characters onstage.
