The recently-announced Golden Globe nominations have created a lot of buzz, and leading the nominations is The Banshees of Inisherin, an unusual drama-comedy written and directed by Martin McDonagh. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has been nominated for eight Golden Globe Awards: best musical or comedy, best actor in a musical or comedy, best supporting actor, best supporting actress, best director, best screenplay, and best score. Both Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan received the nomination for best supporting actor, so the film can at most receive seven Golden Globe Awards, although two actors from the same movie being nominated for the same award is quite impressive.
