The Flash Was Never in Danger of Getting Shelved Due to Ezra Miller Controversy, Producer Says

After a lengthy production and multiple release date delays, The Flash is now finally set to premiere in theaters in just over two weeks from now. Over the past year, the movie has been the subject of controversy, given the criminal charges and serious allegations which have been leveled at lead star Ezra Miller. Given how Warner Bros. Discovery had completely axed Batgirl after that film was already finished, that led to rumors and speculation that The Flash would be met with the same fate. By that point, the controversy involving Miller was well known, but as the film had been shot, recasting was not an option, leaving it up to the studio to either cancel the film’s release outright or move forward with release.
