Visionary Director Wim Wenders on Why His New Film Anselm Needs to Be Watched in 3D

Wim Wenders, the visionary New German Cinema director behind Paris, Texas (1984) and Wings of Desire (1987), is no stranger to the documentary feature about real-life artists. In fact, his films Buena Vista Social Club (1999), Pina (2011), and The Salt of the Earth (2014) were all nominated at one point for the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Feature). But it was with his 2011 film Pina, about the dance choreographer Pina Bausch, that Wenders reportedly fell in love once and for all with the 3D medium.
