As of right now, a seventh Scream film hasn’t been officially announced, but franchise star Melissa Barrera thinks it’s a matter of time before that happens. The previous installment of the series, Scream VI, was a big hit at the box office when it was released in theaters this year. Despite the absence of original final girl Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Scream VI became the first installment of the series to surpass $100 million at the box office, making it the biggest money-earner of the franchise so far. A sequel seems like a no-brainer given that financial success.
