It’s official: Woody and Buzz Lightyear will reunite for Toy Story 5. While not overly shocking, the news is still exciting for fans, as it means the upcoming sequel will again feature the two together in an all-new adventure. Given how the characters said farewell to one another by the end of the last film, there may have been some speculation that the sequel would be a spinoff focusing more on other characters, or perhaps even introducing new toys as the leads. In any case, Pixar’s creative chief officer, Pete Docter, made it clear that Toy Story 5 will very much be a movie about Woody and Buzz, just like all four of its predecessors.
