Halloween fans in attendance at this weekend’s H45: 45 Years of Terror convention got a special treat yesterday. John Carpenter, who directed the 1978 slasher that launched numerous sequels and reboots, made a surprise appearance that reunited him with some of the original film’s cast. While final girl Jamie Lee Curtis was not in attendance, Carpenter did link up with P.J. Soles and Nancy Loomis, who portrayed Lynda and Annie, respectively. In a social media video posted by Douglas Tait, Carpenter is seen next to Nick Castle, who played the iconic boogeyman in the original film and Blumhouse’s trilogy. Carpenter also participated in a panel discussing the film (via ScreenRant).
