Saw Composer Charlie Clouser Sets New Record, Surpassing Star Wars’ John Williams

Charlie Clouser, the composer known for his work on the Saw franchise, has achieved a milestone with the release of Saw X. He now holds the distinction of being the first American composer to score ten movies within the same franchise. This has propelled him past the legendary composer John Williams, who was known for scoring all nine movies in the Star Wars Skywalker Saga. While Clouser is humbled by this achievement, he admitted in an interview with Consequence that he doesn’t place himself on the same level as Williams in any other aspect apart from the number of sequels within a single franchise. Over the years, he kept a running tally, wondering if he would ever catch up to him.
