Arnold Schwarzenegger Wants to ‘Pump You Up’ On the Big Screen, Would Love Conan O’Brien to Make His Hans and Franz Movie

They’re going to pump… you up! During the 13th season of Saturday Night Live (1987-1988), SNL stars Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon began performing their famous Pumping Up with Hans & Franz skit, which featured the two comedic actors playing over-the-top weightlifters devoted to their cousin, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Conan O’Brien, who was a writer on SNL, was even developing a film tentatively titled Hans and Franz Go to Hollywood. The project never came to fruition, but Schwarzenegger would still love to see the movie produced. Schwarzenegger said during the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast (via Team Coco):
