Who would have thought that Carol Danvers and James Bond had so much in common? As it turns out, director Nia DaCosta pitched her MCU entry The Marvels very much with the 007 franchise in mind. In particular, DaCosta thought there was something quite similar between Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and the British secret agent, as when he was portrayed by Pierce Brosnan and then immediately followed by Daniel Craig.
