With the SAG-AFTRA strike now over, actors have been given the green light to once again promote their upcoming projects, and Willem Dafoe has revealed that it took six hours each day for him to get into makeup for his role as Dr. Godwin Baxter in the upcoming black comedy, Poor Things. Speaking with Variety, Dafoe explains how he had a 3 a.m. call time that would allow the makeup team to begin the arduous process of applying the prosthetics that would transform him into the hideously deformed character of Baxter. The entire procedure lasted four hours, with an additional two hours being added on to remove the makeup at the end of the day.
