The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare has been gaining strong reviews for Henry Cavill, but could also be setting itself to be his second straight box office flop. The Guy Ritchie-directed World War II movie sees Cavill joined by Reacher’s Alan Ritchson and Eiza González, but it seems that the star power of the movie has only been enough to see the film pull in $8.7 million on its opening weekend. Up against the controversial dystopian movie Civil War, and Universal’s vampire horror Abigail, the film just couldn’t manage to compete, putting a bleak spin on Cavill’s post-Superman performance.
