Viggo Mortensen Used His Lord of the Rings Sword in New Western Film

Viggo Mortensen has wielded a lot of weapons throughout the course of his film career, but perhaps none are more famous than Andril, the sword forged from the remnants of Narsil that Mortensens character of Aragorn carried for much of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King back in 2003. The sword made its first appearance at the beginning of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in 2001, and had a brief showing later in the film, but it wasnt seen again until the 2003 movie during the Battle of the Black Gate. Now, in 2024, the sword is set to be seen on film once more, but not in the way fans might think.
