Superman is crawling closer and closer to its July, 2025 release date. One year ago today, the leading cast of James Gunn‘s new movie, David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, met for their first screen test. Corenswet takes over from Henry Cavill, whose tenure as the Man of Steel saw a shaky end after yoyoing announcements about his return to the character in the DC Extended Universe’s later projects. Meanwhile, Rachel Brosnahan steps into Amy Adams’ former role, after she was criminally underutilized in the past iteration of the DCEU.
