Andrew McCarthy’s Hulu documentary Brats, which looks back on the impact of ‘The Brat Pack’ and the effect it had on the lives and careers of those who were a part of it, has increased interest in the films featuring some of its members. While many movies could be called “Brat Pack” entries, one that has taken the lead is 1985’s St. Elmo’s Fire, primarily because the film stars many of the actors featured in the documentary. The movie was a hit in the ’80s and now Sony Pictures is exploring the possibility of remaking it for today’s audiences.
