For context, the 1984 original was the highest grossing film of its respective year, beating out other stone-cold classics like Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Gremlins, and The Karate Kid. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, which hits Netflix July 3, looks to be a major return to form. And that’s not just because everyone from Eddie Murphy to Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot are returning.
