Eddie Murphy is gearing up to return as Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F which hits Netflix on July 3, 2024, but before that, the actor is taking time to speak about the harshest bit of criticism he ever received thanks to his 2002 flop, The Adventures of Pluto Nash. Released on August 16, 2002, the film tells the tale of the owner of a nightclub on the moon in the year 2087 who refuses to sell his establishment to the mob. Murphy plays dual roles in the film, portraying the titular character, as well as criminal entrepreneur Rex Murphy, who is a clone of Pluto Nash.
