Jeffrey Reddick, the creator of the Final Destination franchise, is set to put a whole new spin on the Bloody Mary urban legend with his new piece, Bloody Mary: Origins. Originally written by Reddick as an episode of The X-Files in order to land the up-and-coming writer an agent, Final Destination would go on to become a hit movie, grossing $113 million at the box office and setting the stage for an entire franchise of films. To date, there are a total of five entries in the series, with a sixth, Final Destination: Bloodlines, set for release in 2025.
