Paul Mescal was determined not to have the stereotypical “supermodel” look when he donned the sword and sandals as the lead in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Mescal described the radical physical transformation he experienced while training for the lead role in the film, which opens in November.
