Silent Films Accompany Great Rock Albums in New Theatrical Project

If there’s one thing that classic Hollywood silent movies are desperately missing, it’s the screeching noise of electric guitars. Music has long accompanied the dialogue-less moving pictures of iconic silent movies, but not like this. Silents Synced is a new series from Blue Starlite Entertainment and CineLife Entertainment, which screens silent movies accompanied by iconic rock albums. Per a report from Deadline, the first show will blend F.W. Murnau’s seminal Nosferatu (1922) with two Radiohead albums that are traditionally paired (KID A & Amnesiac). Following this, the companies are also developing a pairing of Buster Keaton’s Sherlock, Jr. with music from R.E.M. Those are the only two movies announced so far.
