How Much Ridley Scott Actually Involved Himself in Alien: Romulus

Director Ridley Scott redefined sci-horror with 1979’s Alien, and it has since spawned a franchise that will continue with the soon-to-be-released, Alien: Romulus. Throughout the years, Scott has given up the director’s chair to the likes of James Cameron and David Fincher, but it’s an IP that has called him back on more than one occasion, either as a producer or to helm installments himself like 2012’s Prometheus and 2017’s Alien: Covenant. Alien: Romulus is being helmed by Fede Alvarez and although Scott is executive producer on the project, he admits that when Alvarez sought directing advice, he chose not to interfere.
