To celebrate the upcoming release of the HBO series The Penguin, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is punching its way back into theaters. Unlike past iterations, which turned the Caped Crusader into a gadget-wielding bruiser, Reeves leaned into the vigilante’s detective roots after all, the publishers are Detective Comics. As well as introducing the world to Robert Pattinson’s brooding version of Batman/Bruce Wayne and Zo Kravitz’s Catwoman, The Batman also gave audiences an unrecognizable Colin Farrell as The Penguin.
