However, Director Marc Webbs feature debut somehow managed to successfully capture the ups and downs of romance while catering to the Star Wars fanboys during one of the films most elated scenes. And all while getting Harrison Ford to show up. In an interview with the Daily Beast, Webb explained his intentions behind writing (500) Days of Summer and how it helped him process his own past relationship traumas. The film is told in non-chronological chunks of time between hopeless romantic Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and carefree co-worker Summer (Zooey Deschanel).
