The crux of the narrative in Bad Boys: Ride or Die is directly related to something that occurs in the previous film, Bad Boys for Life. This is, of course, the death of Joe Pantoliano’s Captain Conrad Howard. He’s killed by none other than Armando Aretas, the illegitimate son of Will Smith’s Det. Lt. Mike Lowrey. In the most recent film, Captain Howard’s name is being besmirched. And he’s not even around to defend himself.
