Alex Garland, long-time collaborator of Danny Boyle and the director responsible for Men, Annihilation, and Civil War, has shared details about his favorite filmmaking experience. During a special event at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in which he and producing collaborator Andrew McDonald sat down to speak about their career, Garland pointed to Ex Machina as his favorite film to make. The movie celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and was Garland’s directorial feature debut.
