Beloved director Tim Burton believes that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (the upcoming sequel to his 1988 classic) will be his last contribution to the franchise. It’s taken 36 years for Michael Keaton’s Betelgeuse to return to our screens, as the actor is being joined by Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, with Jenna Ortega joining the cast as the newcomer to the franchise. Fans are elated that Burton has returned to direct the long-awaited sequel, but any hopes of a threequel which may come from the new movie’s success have now seemingly been squashed.
