Back in 2000, director Keenan Ivory Wayans, with a great writing assist from his brothers Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans, launched Scary Movie to great financial success. The film was a spoof of the popular horror films that emerged during the late ’90s, such as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, and the response was overwhelmingly positive so much so that a sequel was quickly released just a year later.
