Justin Timberlake Makes Statement After Pleading Guilty in DWI Case

Justin Timberlake has accepted a plea deal, admitting to driving while ability impaired, in exchange for dropping a more severe DWI charge. Following his hearing, the actor and musician told members of the media that he was “grateful” the case was closing. Timberlake’s charge stems from the highly publicized incident on June 18, when he was arrested in Sag Harbor, N.Y. for driving while intoxicated. Timberlake, who is currently on tour, was stopped after running a stop sign and failing to drive on the right side of the road. According to the police report (via PEOPLE), Timberlake “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
