Richard Osman, the author of the best-selling mystery novel, The Thursday Murder Club, has confirmed that he won’t be getting involved with the filmmaking process, nor will he make a physical cameo in the upcoming Netflix film. Most importantly, Osman said that the movie has officially wrapped production. It’s somewhat surprising to see an author take a hands-off approach to a feature film adaptation of one of their books, but Osman wants the movie to stand as its own piece of storytelling, rather than an extension of his acclaimed series of books. The uniquely British film has garnered interest from audiences across the world, thanks in large part to its phenomenal cast. Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Helen Mirren, Celia Imrie, David Tennant, Naomi Ackie, Jonathan Pryce, Tom Ellis, Daniel Mays, and more!
