After years of development, it appears Oscar-winning filmmaker Mel Gibson is nearing the start of production for The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection, the sequel to his record-breaking 2004 film about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jim Caviezel (Person of Interest), has confirmed he is reprising his role as Jesus in the film, which may begin filming as early as next year.
