While James Cameron is deep into post-production on Avatar: Fire and Ash and in development for Avatar 4 & 5, he has found a new project outside of Pandora. Deadline has learned that Cameron purchased the rights to Charles R. Pellegrinos forthcoming Ghosts of Hiroshima as well as his 2015 book Last Train From Hiroshima, both of which will be combined into one “uncompromising theatrical film.” The movie will be titled Last Train From Hiroshima and focuses on the true story of a Japanese man during World War II who survived the atomic blast at Hiroshima and then the nuclear explosion in Nagasaki after taking a train.
