With director Ridley Scott out and about doing the marketing rounds for Gladiator II, it’s only fitting that he’s recalling stories from making its Oscar-winning predecessor, Gladiator. The film starred Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix, but it was nearly close to losing the latter because the actor got cold feet during filming and wanted to leave the project.
