While Spider-Man has been responsible for packing out theaters time and time again, Sony’s efforts to continue building a world around the villains of the Spider-Man universe have mostly been complete disappointments. While some fans are looking back on Sony’s Andrew Garfield Spider-Man films with new-found respect, Sony’s recent live-action Spider-Man endeavors have been lackluster, to say the least.
