How to Train Your Dragon director Dean DeBois has weighed in on the recent controversy around the decision to cast actress Nico Parker as Astrid in the live-action remake. Nico Parker, the daughter of Ticket to Paradise director Ol Parker and Westworld star Thandiwe Newton, has become a star in her own right, appearing in the live-action Dumbo and also as Sarah Miller on the hit HBO series The Last of Us.
