Wolf Man is set to be released in January, and director Leigh Whannell has promised good things for horror fans in the new Universal Monsters movie. Since the teaser trailer came out, the director has been teasing what can be expected when the film is released, and with his latest statement, we cant help but be more excited. According to Whannell, one big inspiration was David Cronenbergs The Fly, which included a horrifying transformation sequence for its lead, Jeff Goldblum. For Whannell, this was something he really wanted to replicate in the werewolf transformations of Wolf Man, suggesting that there will be plenty of practical effects involved.
