Move over Art the Clown, there’s a new terrifying trickster in town. A new horror slasher is incoming from RLJE Films and Shudder that’s sure to be on the shortlist for next year’s creepiest Halloween costumes. With a release date announcement, the two major horror distributors are gearing up to create a new modern slasher icon in the form of a creepy clown with possibly the creepiest name of all: Frendo. Based on author Adam Cesare’s Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel Clown in a Cornfield, the new film will add yet another nightmare-inducing clown to the genre.
