Robert Pattinson might not have a long future as the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ The Batman franchise. In fact, he’s considering retiring from acting altogether – maybe. Reeves’ smash-hit Batman movie showed audiences Bruce Wayne’s second year of crime fighting in a gritty, hyperrealistic Gotham City. In The Batman, the Dark Knight faced down the Riddler (Paul Dano), who was on a crusade to rid Gotham of its corrupt officials. Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin are currently gearing up for The Batman: Part II, whose villain hasn’t been announced yet. The Batman franchise is already confirmed to be a trilogy, but Robert Pattinson probably won’t continue beyond those films.
