When you talk about Dwayne Johnson, it’s inevitable that there will be some people who complain that he always plays the same character in all of his movies. It certainly appears that way, as his roles in the likes of Jungle Cruise, Jumanji, Rampage, and Skyscraper all seem interchangeable with one another, which is to say there isn’t too much depth to them. When it comes to The Smashing Machine, however, Johnson’s co-star, Emily Blunt, says that the 52-year-old is “unrecognizable” in the MMA drama, which bodes well for its future.
