No. 1 Moana and No. 2 Wicked didn’t have any trouble with No. 3 Kraven the Hunter at the box office. Sony’s latest Spidey spin-off couldn’t hunt up any semblance of an audience as it only managed to make an estimated $11 million domestically over its opening weekend (per The Numbers). Kraven’s debut tallied even less money than the much-maligned Madame Web ($15.3 million), which premiered back in February. In fact, Kraven marked the worst opening weekend for any of Sony’s live-action Spider-Man titles not to feature the heroic webslinger. Yes, even the critically panned Morbius ($39 million) performed better to begin its theatrical release.
