300 is still considered by many to be Zack Snyder‘s greatest movie (in close contention with Watchmen). The bloody historical action film depicts the battle between 300 Spartan soldiers and the Persian army at the Battle of Thermopylae in 480BC. Starring Gerard Butler, Lena Headey, Michael Fassbender, Dominic West, and David Wenham, the movie is filled with all the beautiful fight choreography, muddied color palette, and slow motion that Zack Snyder fans lose their minds over. But, it’s far from historically accurate.
