To say that fans were disappointed with the 2024 reimagining of The Crow would be an understatement. Directed by Rupert Sanders and starring Bill Skarsgård, the film was a critical and commercial flop, earning just $24 million at the box office against a budget of $50 million. Hoping to recoup some of their losses, Lionsgate made it available on VOD less than a month after its theatrical debut, but by then the word was already out about how cringe it was.
