The 2025 Oscar nominees were announced this morning, and in a positively surprising turn of events, Sebastian Stan was nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Donald Trump in The Apprentice, joined in the final five by Adrien Brody in The Brutalist, Colman Domingo in Sing Sing, Ralph Fiennes in Conclave and Timothée Chalamet in A Complete Unknown. The Apprentice actually landed two nominations, with the other going to Stan’s co-star, Jeremy Strong, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
