Will this year’s eighth Mission: Impossible movie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, actually live up to its title and be the final outing in the iconic action franchise? While the recent trailer for the movie certainly hinted that this is the case, with the footage teasing all manner of Easter eggs and finding Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt asking his team to trust him “one last time,” it has not been confirmed that this will indeed be the last hurrah for Hunt. Now, director Christopher McQuarrie has chimed in… and suggests that, yes, this is the end of the line.
