Goonies 2 is officially on! Steven Spielberg’s beloved classic The Goonies is finally getting the sequel that’s been rumored for decades. The exciting news comes after a heart-warming cast reunion at TCL Chinese Theatres to celebrate Data actor Ke Huy Quan’s hand and foot imprint ceremony. The ’80s classic directed by Richard Donner from a script by the legendary Christopher Columbus was based on the extremely loveable story by Spielberg, the project’s producer. While there aren’t many concrete details yet, Deadline has confirmed that the director of Old Henry and Greedy People,Potsy Ponciroli, has come aboard to write the sequel’s script for Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group.
