Elijah Wood‘s appearance in one of the hottest horror movies of the year so far was never meant to happen, but sometimes these things just work out. Based on a short story by Stephen King, The Monkey is the latest film by Osgood Perkins, who is releasing this project hot off the success of last year’s Longlegs. NEON is distributing the movie and hasn’t been slacking in its promotion of the film. From different homage posters to creepy billboards and now even offering church screenings of the movie, the production company has done a great job of getting people’s attention without spoiling what happens in the incredibly gory and surprisingly hilarious film.
