One of the stars of the blockbuster sensation that was Top Gun: Maverick has sadly revealed that they will not return for the next installment in the action franchise, Top Gun 3, which is now in early development. Released back in May 2022, Top Gun: Maverick picks up more than thirty years after director Tony Scott’s 1986 classic and follows Tom Cruise as Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell as he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for an important, and seemingly impossible, mission.
