The Jason Bourne franchise could be about to get the same kind of creative overhaul that James Bond is currently undergoing as Universal’s hold on the action franchise comes to an end. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the estate of author Robert Ludlum is shopping the rights to not only the Bourne saga, but Ludlum’s entire library, with interested parties including Netflix and Apple TV, as well as Universal still potentially able to buy back the rights if they can come up with the same kind of cash that the streaming giants will be offering.
