In 2023, Jonathan Majors was enjoying a blossoming career with the critically and commercially successful Creed III, a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conqueror, and an Emmy nod for Lovecraft Country under his belt. That January, Magazine Dreams, about a conflicted amateur bodybuilder, debuted at Sundance to critical acclaim and talks of an Oscar nomination for Major. But that March, his career came to a screeching halt when he was arrested following a domestic dispute with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
